Paula Hornbeck of Eye Candy Named One of U.S. Optical Industry's "Most Influential Women"

vision monday When Paula put the plans together to open Eye Candy, she knew she wanted her eyewear boutique to be something more than the average 2-for-1 mall experience. She wanted a fun and exciting place where people could express their individuality and feel confident in their glasses.

While she fully expected Eye Candy to be a hit with her customers, she didn’t expect to be honored as one of the “Most Influential Women” in the optical Industry!

Paula’s not one to rest on her laurels. She’s packing and gearing up for her trip to Las Vegas for the 2009 Vision Expo, where she’ll scoop up the hottest trends and newest styles and bring them back for you!

Meet Paula
The concept of Eye Candy was developed from my belief that the experience of selecting eyewear should be as fun and exciting as wearing that great pair of hot, new glasses. My passion is customer service and I am dedicated to providing high quality eyewear with service that meets or beats expectations. When I'm not at the shop, I'm an avid reader, gardener in the summer and enjoy dinner with friends.

I am an American Board of Opticiany Certified Optician. I have over 30 years of experience in the optical industry (boy did I start out young!). I love to bring this knowledge and experience to each of my customers to enable us to find the perfect look and excellent vision they deserve.
I can't wait to meet you!

Meet Dena
At Eye Candy I get to focus exclusively on the highest fashion in eyewear. With over 13 years in high fashion eyewear, I have also been involved in lens development studies and medical testing to detect early warning signs of glaucoma. My passion is in helping every client look and feel their very best! Each of my customers has a one-of-a-kind eyewear shopping experience.

When I am not pursuing my career, I am enjoying my two beautiful children. We love to watch movies and enjoy baking and cooking. My personal belief "life is too short to wear ugly eyewear".
